Here’s where the lynx live in Sweden

The lynx is found all over Sweden, most of them in the north and central parts. They have their highest density in de borderlands of Bergslagen and in the agricultural districts south of that. Furthermore there are many lynx along the coast of Norrland and of course in the reindeer farming areas. The lynx is also found to be spreading southwards, back to its original grounds in Småland, and in the provinces of Halland, Västra Götaland, Sörmland, Uppland and Östergötland.

In Sweden the number of lynx was estimated to be 1 100 animals during the winter 2019/2020.
